Assessment of Railway Steel Girder Bridge of Two Tracks
Keywords:
Formation of model for depth of steel girder and load, span, width of pier, flexural strength requirementAbstract
Relationship for load of train and depth of steel girder is established in different forms. Also, the depth of steel girder is found for maximum applied load (W = 60 t; i.e., load of one bogie of train). The flexural strength requirement is to be taken into account. Also, the depth of girder is taken to be const and span between two piers, width of pier is to be found. Similarly, span is to be taken to be taken constant and depth of girder, width of pier is determined taking flexural strength requirement. The shorter span is beneficial to resist bending action for more load applied on steel girder.
