Incorporating Fly Ash into Road Construction: Sustainable Infrastructure Development
Keywords:
Fly ash, Cement, Compressive strength, Fine Aggregate, Coarse AggregateAbstract
With the rapid pace of industrialization and urbanization, there has been a concerning surge in the demand for cement usage. Simultaneously, the substantial production of fly ash and pond ash from thermal plants has led to environmental pollution. To address these pressing issues, the effective utilization of fly ash through partial cement replacement in high-strength concrete has emerged as a viable solution. Experimental investigations have demonstrated the feasibility of this approach, offering a means to alleviate cement scarcity and reduce overall construction costs. In the case of M40 grade concrete, the composition included cement, fly ash, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, and Nerolac Perma.References
