Inhibitors of steel corrosion sector

Bangshidhar Goswami, Kalpana Mahato, Vikram Sharma, Debabrata Das, Basuki Nath Choudhary

Abstract

Inhibitor application in medium of exposure is to mitigate corrosion of mild steel. In industrial and ambient weather corrosions is either from acidic medium or soil compositions. Most of inhibitors appear to be green in origin i.e. environmentally friendly.  These explorations account to prevent usage of toxic and high cost synthetic inhibitors. Comparative behaviors about inhibition efficiency restrain a long list of organic natural inhibitors to that of synthetic inorganic and inorganic compounds. Some of these are presented in this article.
