Influence of Waste Marble Powder by Partially Replacement of the Cement with M30 Grade to form Green Concrete

Prabhujeet Kaur, Dhirendra Kumar Singh

Abstract

This paper presents the study of concrete mix design using marble powder. Along the rapid growth of human needs in many sectors, a significant decrease in the availability and viability of the natural resources was always faced. Leaving the waste materials to the environment directly can cause environmental problem. Hence the reuse of waste material has been emphasized. The use of waste marble powder (dust) was proposed in partial replacement of cement, for the production of Concrete Mix. In particular, tests were conducted on the concrete mix cured for different times in order to determine their flexural as well as compressive strength. The tests are conducted in the series to study the effect of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% replacement of cement with marble powder on compressive strength and flexural strength and compare it with the conventional concrete.
