Abstract

Abstract

For developing countries like India, Power theft is the one the major problems related to electricity transfer. Problems arising due to power theft are many. It causes financial loss to the electricity companies which in turn is also financial loss to the country. Other and more important reason being the safety concern for the people. In our country the energy shortage problem and the alarming rate at which theft is rising has given way to the power theft detection device.

Keywords: power theft, financial loss, energy shortage, safety, fire, overvoltage.
