Seismic Analysis of G + 10 Rc Frame Building by Using IS 1893, EC 8 & UBC seismic codes.

Abstract


The present study investigates the behaviour of G+10 storey rectangular shaped building provided with water tank at different locations total four model of G+10 storey building are prepared. The seismic of G+10 storey building is carried out by using structural analysis computer program STAAD Pro. The dynamic analysis (Response Spectrum Method) of G+10 storey rectangle shaped building with water tank at a different locations is carried out by using structural analysis computer program STAAD Pro. All the models are developed for seismic zone II and zone V as per IS 1893: 2002 (part I), UBC 1997 and EC8 European code is considered. All the models are analyzed by considering seismic forces. The behaviour of each model with respect to others is checked for Base Shear (VB), Axial Force (FX), Twisting Moment (MX), Bending Moment (My), Bending Moment (MZ), and Lateral Displacement (δ) at each and every storey are carried out for seismic forces
