Abstract

Building constructions by composite material in the current era very popular because of their vantage over conventional concrete and steel construction. It is noted that R.C.C buildings are being relatively large in size and give relatively less deflection and more seismic weight, whereas steel building instruct more ductility and deflection to the structure, Which is enhancing well-being in resisting earthquake forces. In this thesis Comparative Study of R.C.C., Steel and Composite Structures of story G+12 buildings is analysed by Using ETABS 2016 Software. Comparison analyses of R.C.C. frame, steel frame and composite frames is presented situated in earthquake zone III.  different parameters like storey displacement or displacement, base shear of structure, storey drift and self-weight, time period, stiffness are compare, Equivalent static method is used for seismic analysis. All building frames are analysed for same gravity loadings. it is noted that Composite structure fuse the well properties of steel and concrete, along with less self-weight of structure, high speed construction, and less construction cost, etc. This Comparative study concludes that the composite frames are best suited among all R.C.C, Steel and composite types of constructions in terms of construction time, material cost, self-weight also benefit added with well seismic behaviour also composite frames are more ductile as compare to R.C.C., steel frames and having Maximum Storey Displacement within acceptable limits and self-weight of steel is less as compare to R.C.C., Composite structures.
