Abstract

Abstract

In modern days, a demand for the renewable energy source is increased such as fuel cell, solar energy, wind energy for power generation. These sources are environment pollutants, the solar energy is pollution free and abundantly found in nature. The energy of the photovoltaic cell is a renewable energy. The characteristics of the PV cells are affected due to temperature, solar irradiance, shading and so on. In this study, a PV module is designed under different weather condition using MATLAB/SIMULINK. To increase solar efficiency P&O algorithm, Incremental Conductance algorithm, and Fuzzy logic MPPT algorithms are used. In this study, P&O algorithm is used for track to maximum power point. A boost converter is used for increasing the DC voltage which is generated by a photovoltaic system. The simulation results of PV module and Simulink model of PV module with P&O MPPT technique are shown and also discussed the effect of weather conditions.

Keywords: Solar energy, PV Module, Perturb and Observe MPPT algorithm, DC-DC Boost Converter.
