Kumar H., Sharma K K, Vig S., Singh B.

Abstract

India ranks fourth in terms of purchasing power and is eleventh largest economy of the world. Solar Energy, Animal wastes, and Crop residues are some of the major renewable sources available in rural areas of India that can be harnessed in an efficient way to meet the energy demand. After assessing the Existing Village (Nangal), it was found that Hybrid Renewable Energy System is an optimum solution for complete electrification of rural areas. These natural resources can be used to produce energy to enhance the living standards of the villagers, provide clean energy and reducing the burden on conventional grid. This paper aims to devise a plan for a village with a complete solution to meet domestic energy demand of a village by Renewable energy sources and reliable electricity supply.
