Abstract

The paper describes the importance and application of trans multiplexer (TMUX) in satellite communication system. Nowadays, the communication system is completely based on multi user system. Generally, cellular communication can be done with a fixed frequency bands which is narrow band system where as satellite communication is based on wide band system, where different standards can be used simultaneously. In this paper, the overall idea of how signal processing is done at transmitter and receiver end is described. Trans multiplexer is a system which is used to convert TDM signal to FDM at the transmitter end and from FDM to TDM at receiver end. Discussion is done by taking example of a single side, i.e. at receiver side.
