Abstract

Importance of good can never be ignored. It is well understood by two popular proverbs: “Health is wealth” and “A healthy brain resides in healthy body”. Nowadays, in this busy lifestyle, people generally do not pay proper attention to their diet plan. They become unable to plan their diet properly to maintain the desired body build-up and body mass index (BMI). Moreover, they do not become able to know the accurate amounts of calories they are consuming when they are eating something. At the same time, they remains unaware while overeating. Due to which it results in increase in calorie-intake thereby making the body unfit and leading to gradual or abnormal rise in BMI. This in turn gradually increases the body fat abnormally, and people become unable to control it due to either their busy lifestyle or ignorance on this finding. The proposed solution may help the user to track down what he or she is eating, how much calory he or she is going to get from that, as well as they will become able to observe how it is going to affect their body. The solution of this is a device, which will be able to detect food items using raspberry pi camera, calculate the calories and record that data on a server, which will be analyzed there further. By using this device, he or she will be completely guided about the diet by getting regular information about consumption of calorie. This means the user will be guided about the type and minimum quantity of food he or she now required to take.
