NBR/CR blends, silicon oxide nanoparticles, rheological propertiesAbstract
The rheological alteration of NBR/CR after adding various nano-quantities of silicon oxide (0–50) wt.% was studied. The rheological properties that were tested are viscosity, scorch time, cure time and max torque. Oscillating disk rheometer was used for measuring the above properties. The experimental results have shown that the silicon oxide additives have a good effect on viscosity and max torque during vulcanization, but at the same time the scorch and cure time decrease.
