Progressive and Staged Analysis of RC Building Frame

M. V. Bhatti, R. S. Londhe

Abstract

Abstract

The RC building frame is analyzed for gravity load as a complete space/plane frame using computer software. The Dead Load (DL) accumulates as construction work progresses. The analysis results obtained for partly built building frame differs from those obtained from complete frame analysis. The structural elements of partly built building frame may pass through critical stage when analyzed for DL and Construction Load (CL) acting on partly built building frame. The difference in analysis results evaluated for partly built building frame and complete frame is obtained. The contribution to design forces due to DL must be evaluated for partly builtbuilding frame.
