Facility Management in Government School building

Abstract


Facilities management is important part for development of performance of the school. Student learning performance is impacted by the performance of facilities available in the school, so government made schemes to improve the facilities in government schools. There are Several Schemes (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Mid-Day Meal, Rashtriya Madhyamika Shiksha Abhiyan…) are funded, either partially or fully by the Centre and implemented by the State Governments.  The relevant indicators have to be identified to improve the performance of facilities. The frequent inspection and monitoring are the main role in facility management. The facilities in government school has to be improved in various ways and which facility has to improve will be identified through this study. The Questionnaire survey has been conducted to collect the required data for the project. The basic facilities which are inadequate are identified with the questionnaire survey and it is given priority to enhance the facilities. The unavailability of basic facilities is identified. The recommendation \ suggestions has been given to improve the available facility and to provide unavailable facility. To enhance the performance of facilities provided, performance of FM should be improved. Future trend in FM has to be identified and have to try implementing it.
