Forging operation is the oldest metal forming process known for producing a product of a reduced void and improved physical properties which make it suitable for manufacturing of a ploughing disc that can be applied in sticky soil, for deep plough. It can also be used safely in stony and stumpy soil without much danger of breakage. This study focuses on identifying appropriate parameters for the manufacturing of a proper geometry of a plough disc. Three dimensional and two-dimensional modeling of the components was carried out using CATIA V5R19 software. The simulation and the stability are validated using DEFORM-3D software for manufacturing of a good plough disc. The obtained result allows finding optimum forging parameters for manufacturing the safest value for manufacturing good plough disc geometry.References
