Design and Analysis of Vibration Table for SMAW Welding

Mahavir Dalpatbhai Solanki, ManojkumarV. Sheladiya, G.D. Acharya

Abstract

The welding is the joining process and its joint quality and mechanical strength
become the necessities looking to the end application of the product. Welding defect like lack of penetration in welding is one of the critical defect and directly impacting the strength of joint and rejection. From the literature, it’s found that external controlled vibration is one of the solution for quality weld. The weld defect has been
significantly minimize by vibration machine in which frequency and amplitude can
be control as per requirements. The paper is focuses on the effect of vibration on the quality of weld. It's also helpful for effect of vibration on different mechanical properties.

Keywords
