In engineering applications, bluff body flows are commonplace. They are typified by the creation of vortices in the wake zone, a phenomena called vortex shedding. The current study uses a mix of computer simulations and experimental data to examine the dynamics of vortex shedding in
bluff body flows. A range of bluff body designs were investigated, and the flow characteristics were analyzed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and high-resolution particle image velocimetry (PIV). The findings show how tightly flow parameters, bluff body shape, and vortex shedding dynamics interact. The studys insights have important significance for enhancing engineering designs and performance in a variety of applications, from environmental and civil
engineering buildings to automobile airflow.
