Abstract

In early days breast cancer detection is of crucial importance. Microstrip patch antenna, due to its small size, light weight, low profile, and low manufacturing cost, is finding increasing applications in the medical industry. In this survey paper we have discussed briefly some of the antenna’s technical specification and details of its applications in different medical areas. Mainly they are Breast cancer tumor detection, Hyperthermia, Hearing Aid, and Pacemaker for wireless structural health monitoring system.
