A Protective Smart Cap System for Social Distancing and Spreadable Diseases

Abstract

In the current situation of COVID-19 disease; the aim should be to prevent the spread of the virus to the community. To achieve this, we must ensure that an appropriate social distance from individual to individual is maintained. To ensure that proper social distance is maintained and virus spread is reduced at the individual-to-individual community level, we have proposed the idea of a social distance warning cap. With the help of four ultrasonic sensors placed at four sides of cap we have measured distance to be maintained in 360 degrees. Additionally, a buzzer that alerts the person from a minimal distance is installed. This technique is beneficial since everyone, whether a toddler or an adult, uses caps frequently. To ensure that proper social distance is maintained and virus spread is reduced at the person to person level, we have proposed the idea of a social distance Protective Smart Cap system.
