Abstract

An inefficient power grid can be affected by human mistakes, data loss, and manual circuit and logbook operation, which are all parts of how a power grid works. An IoT-based power grid is introduced to address the issue. Here, we may measure the circuit's current and voltage as well as its active (kW), apparent (kVA), and energy (kWh) powers. We can also use a computer or a mobile device to close or open a circuit. Additionally, at assists in recording the measured data for future reference. IOT has the potential to transform a power grid's overall operational model into a centralised, error-free monitoring system. Better grid control is another benefit of an IOT-based power grid. The transmission lines are crucial for moving power from the power source to the consumer. Since energy is produced in centralised power plants, bidirectional communication is not allowed in the typical electrical grid network. The development of the convectional electric grid system is the smart grid system. Anytime a grid system that transfers power to consumers experiences a malfunction, the power supply may be interrupted. We can use IOT to connect all the loads connected to grid stations with other stations to get around this problem. The IOT uses a variety of sensors to carry out its maintenance and functions. So that we can provide the user with a consistent power supply
