Making heating and cooling policies for good climate regions societies should think the requirement of present cities as well as traditional agriculturalists. Successful heating and cooling modes must be economically reliable in both urban and rural areas setups as well as environmentally friendly and sustainable. One low energy option for conditioning space is to allow ambient air to pass through the earth pipe, which is long-buried tube inside the upper surface of ground also known as, earth to air heat exchangers, through the comparatively steady environment of the subsurface of the ground before being delivered and/or circulated through living area. The temperature difference between the ambient air temperature and temperature of the subsurface of the earth, leads to produce cooling or heating effects to the transmitted air, depends on the time of the day and/or year. The uses of earth tube have been evolved, in the past few decades, from preliminary mathematical, analytical and experimental investigations to commercial choice. This paper presents a view of the fundamentals of earth tube uses and benefits. Several published EAHE applications are reviewed and the potential to cool or to heat buildings in a hot and in a cold suitable region are discussed. This technology can be a useful strategy for the progress of health and life in a clear sky and arid climates in fare distance rural setups, as well as a technology that can significantly down the energy demand to condition building spaces in rapidly growing urban areas.
