Evaluation of Impact of Drainage Quality on Performance of Road pavement
Abstract
The primary purpose of this study is the assessment of the impact produced by the drainage quality on the pavement structure and its useful life. Drainage quality is a critical factor which affects the performance of the flexible pavement as well as rigid pavements. The performance of sub-grade as well as pavement base/sub base layers are affected by poor drainage quality results in frequent and premature failure is occurred. In such cases, pavement is required more maintenance. Hence, there is a need to develop a methodology for quantification of impact of quality of drainage on pavement performance. Therefore, an effort has been made in this study to develop a methodology for evaluation of impact of drainage quality on village road, state highway and national highway with different drainage quality.
