E-waste Trends and Sustainable Practices in India

It is impossible to assume a day without electronic products. Since the development of modern age, electronic items have made our life easier by reducing our efforts significantly and by saving our time. Each electronic item has a specific lifetime, after which, they should be either recycled using appropriate channel or should be discarded which most of the countries like India were facing difficulties in. Day by day, many innovative products are making their way into Indian markets expecting high sales but no manufacturer is taking care about the disposal of the products after its life time, manufacturing products in a way that they are easier to dispose. With the present recycling practices it is difficult for India to recycle all of the e waste present in the country, and any kind of improper recycling can lead to release of toxic materials into all kinds of streams, which affect human life and degradesReferences
