Evaluating the effectiveness of implementation of Behavior-based safety (BBS) in heavy automobile industry by using Correlation analysis

Saddam Mansuri, Shalini Dwivedi

Abstract

This study uses correlation analysis to assess the success of Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) implementation in the heavy vehicle industry. A proactive method of managing occupational health and safety, known as "behavior-based safety," focuses on changing employee behavior to enhance safety performance. BBS implementation increases safety control measures while also inspiring employees and boosting output. Although BBS is a well-known safety management strategy for organizations that are mature, its effectiveness in businesses that rely on non-behavioral safety measures is still a subject that needs more research. In conclusion, correlation analysis used in this study sheds light on the efficacy of BBS implementation in the heavy automobile sector. According to the findings, there may be a potential improvement in safety performance, particularly in terms of lowering unsafe acts and first-aid injuries. The study adds to the growing body of knowledge on BBS effectiveness and gives organizations thinking about using it as a proactive safety management strategy in the heavy automobile industry useful information.
