Abstract

Reduce Instruction Set Computing (RISC) related micro-controlling is taking over modern life little by little. Practicing these phenomena becoming necessary in engineering sectors. In this research, a segmented laboratory-kit has been developed to involve students in controlling Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) Motor and Light Emitting Diode (LED) Dot Matrix Display. This lab kit introduces several features for those two modules. The Rotation Per Minute (RPM) measurement using Infrared (IR) sensor, RPM controlling, letter direction control of matrix display and interfacing both the segments together are some of the significant features of this lab kit. This unique lab kit can make amateur students familiar to the usages of microcontroller and programming easily. Experimental training with this type of lab kit engages the students to get one step closer to control the devices with microcontroller. The experiments which can be done by this lab kit will lead our future engineers to their hidden destinations.
