Area Load Frequency Control (ALFC) using Different Conventional Algorithms
Abstract
In practical system, frequency is always changing because of changing load. So, load frequency control (LFC) is necessary to maintain the frequency at an optimum level. So, in the general system, integral (I), proportional integral (PI) and proportional integral derivative (PID) controller is used for compensation of frequency. In this paper, simulation for LFC is done on two area thermal systems and also different conventional PID tuning methods for minimization of error have been shown.
