Abstract

Traditional knowledge provides valuable leads which save time and investment in research and development. But because of lack of understanding of IPR legislations among researchers of TK field, very less patents have been granted in this field. In order to promote a basic understanding of patents along with other IPR issues among the researchers of tradition knowledge and to analyze the issues in the area of research in traditional knowledge, government must initiate some new steps for a better understanding of IPR to reinforce the global capabilities of TK researchers.
