Hole-flanging is a common sheet forming process in which a flat circular sheet with a small homocentric pre-cut hole is forced locally with a punch around a die to produce a smooth rounded lip or flanged neck. The flanged hole is used for assembly with other components or other purpose. It produces a component with higher strength. This process is often used in the industry. In this paper hole flanging process of sheet metal is studied. A brief review of some researchers is presented with experimental and FEM approach.
