Jatinder kaur, Jiya Bhayana, Shilpa Bhandari

Abstract

India is one of the fastest evolving dating markets in the world. Online dating apps have a potential market throughout the world. Many local and foreign players have occasionally entered the market, but only a handful are able to dominate. Through several apps like Tinder, Woo, Truly Madly, and others, India is also attempting to get into this niche market. To determine the factors impacting the use of online dating applications, many pieces of literature from a variety of sources have been analysed. It is therefore obvious to investigate why this is the case. Also, after looking at evaluations of all these applications on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Quora, and Reddit, we discovered that consumers are still dissatisfied with the dating apps. We took survey to gather information on users' dating preferences, the various characteristics they consider before leaving or right-swiping a particular profile, and the qualities they prioritise once a match has been made. With the aid of a standardised questionnaire, 143 samples from college students and young professionals were chosen. The survey was carried out using a simple random sampling, and responses from all the metropolises were gathered. The impact of various parameters on the use of dating apps has been determined using the bar graphs, charts and pie charts. The primary goal is to research the development of Online Dating Application in the context of Indian Youth. The study is distinctive because there haven't been many studies done in India up until now.
