Ameet Sao, Maheshwari Tripathy, Rashmi Gujrati, Hayri Uygun

Abstract

This research endeavours to comprehensively explore the multifaceted dimensions of warehousing that significantly influence operational efficiency within the bustling industrial nexus of the National Capital Region (NCR), encompassing a diverse array of warehouse types in the vicinity of Delhi-NCR. Employing a meticulously crafted structured questionnaire, respondents provided insights through a Likert scale, ranging from 1 = Strongly Disagree to 5 = Strongly Agree. The data collection process, utilizing stratified sampling techniques, facilitated a robust analysis incorporating descriptive, factor, and regression methodologies. Through thorough examination, the study identified five key factors responsible for 78.4% of the observed variance: A (Manpower Allocation – 19.38%), B (Location Strategy – 15.39%), C (Inventory Management – 14.88%), D (IT Integration – 16.27%), and E (Facility Management – 12.45%). Notably, regression analysis utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) underscored the pivotal significance of Manpower Allocation (Factor A) and IT Integration (Factor D), emphasizing their critical role in fostering sustainable growth and maintaining a competitive edge within the industry landscape. The implications of these findings are far-reaching, emphasizing the imperative for stakeholders to strategically allocate resources and prioritize advancements in IT Integration processes. This strategic imperative is deemed essential for achieving operational excellence, adaptability to market fluctuations, and sustained competitiveness in the dynamic warehousing sector of the NCR region.
