Structural Modeling for Fatigue Analysis Using PZT Patches
Abstract
This research was focused on finding the fatigue life of the structure by finding the current stiffness of the structures. Several experiments were conducted on different types of structure by bonding the PZT sensor at different locations in the structure using EMI technique and a relation was developed between current stiffness and remaining life of structure for cyclic loading. In this project, concrete cubes of different compressive strength were modelled using ANSYS and remaining life was calculated for fatigue loading. These results were compared with the experimental results.
