Experimental Investigation of SCC Using Glass Fiber

Abstract


An attempt is made to study the effect of glass fiber impregnation in self-compacting concrete; glass fiber which may aggregate together is added as reinforcing agent. Glass fiber was added in concrete 0.25, 0.5 and 1% by weight of cement. The fine aggregate is replaced with manufactured sand (M sand) in various percentages. Glass fiber added increased the compressive strength to considerable value and also it is found that the SCC properties are not affected in a significant way.
