Seismic Performance of Mono-Support Building Equipped with Exoskeletons

Aadil Kotkar, R.S. Londhe

Abstract

Seismic performance of the structure is one of the most crucial and important aspect of structural engineering. There have been many developments in the field of seismic resistance to enhance the behavior of the structures during seismically activated conditions. In this study the Seismic performance of buildings standing on singular columns have been studied. To enhance the dynamic behavior of the structures analyzed, the buildings were additionally equipped with steel exoskeletons, HDRB and LRB dampers so as to control the seismic excitations and improvise the response of the buildings to a considerable extent.
