Abstract

6XXX series of aluminum alloys suffer from severe corrosion in acidic saline medium. These alloys are used for architectural, automobiles, aviation, household appliances, containers and electronic devices. Organic-inorganic sol-gel hybrid coatings are synthesized on these alloys.  Rear earth inhibitors consider lanthanum inhibitors to be better than cerium inhibitors. These contexts discuss epoxy-silica-zirconia by sol-gel coatings, paddy residue, colchicines, rare earth coatings and ionic liquid for composites
