Abstract

A channel coding approach is performed to lower the noise and interference that erupted in the communication channel. There are indeed a myriad of alternative channel coding schemes that have been developed. Block and convolutional codes are the most prevalent. Turbo code is a new near-channel capacity error-correcting code that has been introduced recently. The information can be transmitted across the channel with a very low bit error rate using this error correcting code. Turbo encoders, channels, and decoders are one of the major components described in this study. The sensitivity of turbo code performance to SNR estimation along with BER is investigated in our proposed systems. The MAP algorithm, which is based on symbol assessment of the received signal, is one of the several soft outputs decoding algorithms employed. The logarithmic variant of the MAP decoding technique i.e, Log-MAP is described in this paper. The findings for this newly designed Log-MAP decoding technique are provided.
