Abstract

The temporal and spatial variability of rainfall is a critical element of semi-arid atmospheres due to its severe impact water availability, livelihood and environment. The present investigation of rainfall is to examine precipitation over a long-period of time for wide region, identifying potential trends and evaluating their significance. The Betwa basin is aftermost environmental change related occasions and its possible effect on biological community, vocation, horticulture, domesticated animals and biodiversity. Precipitation fluctuation is a risk to nourishment generation depend on the Betwa Basin. This examination explores across 13 stations with the long heave varieties and monthly and seasonal precipitation over the Betwa Basin for 45-year time frame (1970-2014). The trend pattern in precipitation were performed with non-parametric Mann-Kendall test, Spearman’s rho tests and Sen's incline estimator. The rates of critical patterns acquired for every parameter in the diverse seasons are displayed. The results of analysis suggested identical results of both non-parametric tests with no significant trend in stations except Barasia R.G. station. Among monthly trend analysis, August month exhibited significant declining trend in 7 (Bairagarh, Berasia, Begumganj, Goharganj, Ghairatganj, Raisen and Gayaraspur out of 13 R.G. stations. The spatial distribution of trnds in the region indicated reducing trend in east and west part of the basin which was not statistically significant. The examination prescribes adjustment methodologies to be streamlined to significant approaches, improving nearby farmers versatile limit with regards to challenging influences on future due to environmental changes.
