Quality Assessment of Underground Water in Summer Season of Rewa City, Madhya Pradesh, India

Manoj Kumar Solanki

Abstract

This paper presents the quality assessment of underground water and seasonal variation in physical and chemical properties of underground water in a summer season of Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh state, India. The variable data of samples are within prescribed limits as suggested by the world health organization (WHO), Indian standard (ISI) and BIS desirable limit for drinking water for drinking purpose. Yearly variation in physical and chemical parameters like temperature, turbidity, color, odor, taste, pH, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, alkalinity, chloride, nitrate, total dissolved solid etc. in water sample were obtained. Data were analyzed for a period of year 2015 in summer season. Parameters were found in maximum limits.
