Effect of Groundwater Quality on Concrete Structures in Greater Noida: A Case Study
Abstract
In this study, firstly selected ten different locations in the Greater Noida region; then collected the ground water samples from these locations. The present study proposes the possible effect of groundwater quality on the concrete structures. It also proposes a realistic water quality on the structures. The chemical present in groundwater generally are pH, chloride, sulphate, acidity, and alkalinity. It is proposed to consider these parameters in the present study for the assessment of influence on setting times and compressive strength of concrete. This study is beneficial for the construction site of the structures in Greater Noida and it is beneficial for the further construction work.
