To Design Sewage collection system for Devlai Area, Using Sewer GEMS
Abstract
Sewerage system is important aspect of a developed urban infrastructure. Sanitary waste from residential area commercial area industry is essential to collect and proper treatment before discharging it into natural environment. Lack of proper sewerage system can cause health related issues as well as flood problems in the city. Well-designed sewerage system is one of the signs of development. Currently computer-based programme SewerGEMS v8i developed by Bently gives best solution to deal with this problem. Bentley SewerGEMS CONNECT Series is only fully-dynamic, multi-platform (Q-GIS, ARC GIS, CAD and StandAlone) sanitary and combined sewer modelling solution. Application of SewerGEMS software is adopted throughout the design of sewerage system for Devlai area of Aurangabad city, Maharashtra, India. For the data preparation of study area, GIS mapping replace field survey and network model is created to eliminate mistakes in field surveying. Researcher and the executive’s experts can utilize a similar system to overcome the field study by utilizing the GIS technique. By using SewerGEMS standard required parameter while designing and installing such as velocity, slope, pressure, diameter and loading rate can be achieved automatically. in this way designed of sewage distribution system caters the ultimate stage demand for year 2050 by considering all the possibilities of development in the town.
