BARRIERS IN IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY AT WORKSITE

Abstract

This reviewed paper describes the common barriers which are encountered during the implementation of
safety at worksite i.e. especially at construction site. In order to implement safety at worksite it is
necessary to implement workplace safety program for protection of employees and their assets .It
is done through in following ways.1) Company safety policy should be properly communicated between
the workers and employees. 2) Assessment of hazards and risks in the premises. 3) Focuses your
attention towards employee education. 4) There should be written document regarding health and
safety responsibilities. Theoretical analysis of literature has found certain Barriers which occur during the
implementation of safety. It includes 1) Employees attitude towards safety 2) Responsibilities of top to
bottom management system and employees 3) Training 4) Improvement in organization structure.
The integration of ergonomics hazards like musculoskeletal disorder helps us to overcome the barriers
which are found during the implementation of safety.
