Seismic Performance of RC Building Using Precast Large Panel Walls

Rashmi Salve, Mohammed Ishtiyaque, Ravindra Bansode

Abstract

To fulfill home dream of every citizen, Government of India has announced the mission “Housing for all by 2022”. Vertical development in the form of high-rise building has become crucial part of today’s urban cities of India with increase in population due to migration from surrounding rural areas in search of education and job. High-rise with precast technology is one of the staircases to reach the task of housing for all within short period of time. This work deals with the study of seismic performance of G+20 floors high rise, large panel precast walls apartment building. The proposed structure is reviewed in reference of IS 1893:2016 for dynamic analysis, considering earthquake vertical ground motion effect. The structural safety criteria for tall buildings stated in IS 16700:2017 were taken in view. It was observed that if the structural integrity is properly maintained, the structure performs well under earthquake effect.

It was observed that if the structural integrity is properly maintained, the structure performs well under earthquake effect.
