Comparison of IS 456 and its Amendments to Analyses and Design a Multistoried Building (G+7) by using STAAD Pro.
Abstract
In this paper, a study has been made for the economic structure which is analyzed and designed according to the Indian standards. The comparison of IS456:2000, IS1893:2002 and its amendments to analyses and designs a multistoried building [G+7] using STAAD Pro.The planning is completed by taking in to account the necessities and standards recommended by IS code, the design is completed using the assistance of Auto CAD and also the design involves load calculations analyzing the complete structure by STAAD Pro. Overall, the concepts and procedures of designing the essential components of a multistory building are described. In the analysis, we found that there were0.04%steel quantity changes in the revised amendments in the design which compared with STAAD Pro. IS 1893:2002 comparison we found that many parameters are revised for the safe structure. The lateral forces are working on the upper floor are greater than the ground floor of the building. As we increase the number of the floor in the building, the lateral forces acting on the upper floor of the building increase the base shear of the building.
