Experimental Investigation of Mortar Using Stone Crusher Dust, Fly Ash and Rice Husk Ash
Abstract
Enormous development of infrastructure raised the issue of sustainability as the large quantities concreting require the huge amounts of constituting materials, the aggregate and cement. Research to explore new alternatives and investigate uses of available industrial and other waste material is very important. In this work two ingredients of concrete fine aggregates and cement are partially replaced by waste materials and the strength property of mortar is investigated. Test results show that 30% replacement of cement by fly ash and rice husk ash, 20 and 10% respectively and 30% replacement of sand by stone crusher dust increased the compressive strength by 14%.
