Hill Climbing Motorcycle with Extended Swing Arm and Mono Suspension

Tejus M, P Jino Robinson, Rahul S

Abstract

The paper “Hill climbing motorcycle with extended swing arm and mono suspension” deals with the implementation of various parts for the advancement of the road motorcycle to hill climbing motorcycle. In recent years, hill climbing is considered as a sport in many abroad countries. No normal road motorcycle can be used for this purpose. i.e. it does not provide proper stability and control of the vehicle over steep hills. In order to give these motorcycles safety and comfort of modern vehicles, we analysed and built an extended swing arm and redesigned the rear suspension system in order to maintain traction and stability. This paper is based on improvement in design of hill climbing motorcycle with mono suspension and modification chain system with minimum cost.
