Automatic Electrical Stamping and Sorting Machine Using PLC

Abstract


Sorting and stamping are final steps in the product manufacturing process that are necessary to brand the final product. Various product types are categorized based on a variety of criteria, and after that, the product is stamped. Here, we show an entire system that combines sorting and stamping of the object as it passes along a conveyor. The process of using air pressure to stamp a logo onto objects is known as pneumatic stamping. This is a mechanical system that combines electrical control. The utilization of gas or pressurized air is what the pneumatic system does. Manual or automatic solenoid valves can be used to control the pneumatic system. The pneumatic cylinders do the sorting and stamping operation. The proximity sensors detect the product. The product reaches the stamping base and after stamping is done, the product is sorted according to its shape. The system is controlled and signalled by PLC. There are five types of PLC programming languages but ladder diagram program is used to control the system.
