IoT Based Real-time Monitoring of Solar Power Plant

S Kausalya, T. Jayakumar

Abstract

The Internet of Things used in solar power generation to improve the functioning, monitoring,
performance, and maintenance of solar power plants. The method is to monitor the dust in the solar
panel to achieve maximum power. Using IoT technology, it monitors solar panel loads by data for
remote users. The application can obtain data on current and past average matrices such as voltage,
temperature, current. The cost of renewable energy equipment is reducing globally due to technological
advances, which are promoting solar plant installations on a large scale. The Discussion in this paper
focuses on a cost-effective solar power plant monitoring approach based on IoT. It also monitors
voltage and current intensity and monitors dust. In addition to tracking, it identifies faults and provides
historical analysis of the area.
