Implementation of Adaptive Control Braking System for Collision-free Driving on Virtual Instrumentation Platform

Abhishek Shukla, Ch. Shravankumar

Abstract

An unaccustomed driver not always has a sound judgment of the surrounding traffic and frequently depresses the brake pedal, causing a poor, jerky drive. Hence, nowadays in high-end cars to provide comfort to passengers while applying sudden brakes without jerks and also in time to avoid collision the adaptive control braking system is used. The main objective of this research study is to automatically monitor the braking force required to maximize the comfort during braking and without collision by implementing adaptive control braking system using LabVIEW by taking different real-time inputs and analyzing them such that to get a maximum comfort and sending signals to the actuators as outputs. This system aids the braking mechanism to augment passenger comfort through its smart sensing and controlled braking.
