Experimental Investigation of High Strength Geopolymer Concrete

This paper presents the experimental studies concerning high strength in geopolymer concrete. So far many researches were carried out in geopolymer concrete and also it enhances the strength and durability of OPC concrete. Several compositions of geopolymer concrete mixes were executed by varying the percentage of fly ash and GGBS. By finding the optimum percentage of fly ash and GGBS from the experimental results, the mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete will be found out. From the optimum percentage of fly ash and GGBS, steel fibers will be added to the geopolymer mix. The mechanical properties of FRGPC (Fiber Reinforced Geopolymer concrete) and conventional GPC will be compared. The study of flexural, split tensile and compression behavior of GPC and FRGPC concrete is going to be done with optimum 0.75% of steel fibers and varying the fly ash to GGBS ratio in 90:10, 80:20, 70:30 respectively and the results are going to be compared with conventional high strength concrete and it is believed from the various literaturesReferences
