Design of Microstrip Stepped Impedance Low Pass Filter for S-Band Application Using Insertion Loss Method

Rahul Dev Mishra

Abstract

Day by day the requirement of microstrip filter is increasing because of their size, low cost and narrow bandwidth .this paper elaborates the design of stepped impedance LPF by using insertion loss method using Richard’s transformation and Kuroda’s identities. Filter works at 2.65 GHz; the used material is FR4 lossy with dielectric constant 4.3 with a substrate thickness of 1.6 mm for n=3. The designing is done with the help of CST (computer simulation technology) software and the simulated result is obtained.
