Abstract

Abstract

In this paper, a rectangular Dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA) is presented for 4G long-term evolution (LTE) applications. A metallic stripline feed is used to excite the antenna. A metallic strip line is used to increase the electric length of the port. Rectangular DRA is designed using FR4 substrate material having dielectric constant 4.4 and design is simulated with the help of high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS). Design antenna structure covered the desired frequency bands which are 4G LTE frequency band i.e. 2.72 GHz. Also, the antenna specifically has a large bandwidth to support a high data rate.
